FAQs

WHAT IS PRP?

WHAT IS NEUROTOXIN TREATMENT?

Neurotoxin is a broad name for medications such as Botox, Dysport and Xeomin that are used to temporarily inhibit muscle movement to decrease the appearance of wrinkles and improve the appearance of fine lines. Be sure to read our post treatment instructions here.

HOW MANY UNITS OF NEUROTOXIN WILL I NEED?

Neurotoxin treatments are not a one size fits all. Each client has a different aging process, genetic makeup and treatment goal. It’s important to discuss your goals of care at the beginning of each appointment to create a treatment plan that reaches your desired outcome. Remember, dose=duration. Budgets are important and respected when it comes to your treatment however, a client that has a minimal budget going into treatment may not see their desired results and will require repeat dosing sooner.

HOW LONG DOES NEUROTOXIN LAST?

Neurotoxin treatments last on average 3 to 4 months. Things that affect treatment duration are genetic makeup, skin texture, dosing, sun exposure and exercise.  Keeping up with your neurotoxin appointments will improve your results over time.

Pro tip: Studies have shown that taking 50 mg Zinc supplement daily can help to prolong neurotoxin treatments. It is important to always check with your doctor before taking a new supplement.

“PRP” stands for Platelet Rich Plasma, an all natural treatment that is used to restore healthy skin or hair cells using the body’s own platelets. Platelets are a component of your blood that helps with wound healing. PRP is obtained by drawing a blood specimen and re injecting it into  areas of the scalp or face to restore hair loss or improve skin texture.  PRP is often used in combination with a micro needling device on the face for optimal results. Be sure to read out post treatment instructions here.

DO I HAVE TO TAKE PHOTOS?

Yes. Before and after photos are required for documenting purposes. It also helps your injector refer back to previous treatments to understand which injection points worked well the previous time or what changes need to be made for your next treatment. That being said, photos are not shared publicly without your permission and signed consent. All though a photo release consent is not required for you to sign, it is greatly appreciated when I am able to showcase my work. This is how I am able to  promote my business. Client privacy is still respected. Check out my before and after gallery.

WHAT IS THE BEST ANTI-WRINKLE AGENT?

SPF 50+ daily! It doesn’t matter if it’s winter or summer, UV levels in all seasons can break down your skin cells leading to photoaging. If you are receiving any anti-aging treatment please use SPF. It will be your cheapest investment.
